Membrane safety device
The bursting membrane plays the role of a solid metal blocking barrier between the safety valve and the technological pressure system. If there are concerns that there may be a sharp increase in pressure that the safety valve cannot withstand, or there are fears of damage to other protective systems due to excessive pressure, a high-strength safety disc cuts off the flow, performing the function of a protective shut-off mechanism. It is also possible to perform pressure tests of the safety valve when using a rupture disc separated from the safety valve.
